I have given Haldane an Escort for Ninety six --

The Forage about here is pretty good but I am afraid we shall not find any Rum in this Neighbourhood -- A Reinforcement of that kind woud highly oblige the L^t Troops

I am anxious to hear Gen^l Rugely's Fate & the News of Arrival [p2] at Charles Town woud be highly satisfactory -- I am going to send 2 Waggons to Charles Town for our Wants & 2 to Camden --
